Students Aitor Garcia Ruiz, Charles Sayers, Lewis Hart and Surani Gunasekera attended a conference at Diamond Light Source: “Electronic structure of 2D materials: theory meets experiment” along with academics Daniel Wolverson, Marcin Mucha-Kruczynski and James Webb.
Charles Sayers (here third from the right) works on charge density waves in 2D materials in collaboration with Politecnico Milan and University of Bristol. He was awarded the first prize for best poster at the recent workshop on 2D materials organized at Diamond where he presented recent results performed by ARPES in TiSe2.
